Now back to the 1970's kitch/porno/grindhouse shock posters

I love this one...the poster that is, movie I haven't seen.

"fusion of the bohemian look with a despairing goth look of the 1980's. That would be a good mix."

...ah so that look does exist.

as thought of in this post

Agave plant i.e where Tequila/Mescal comes from

I like Tequila a lot, quality Tequila that is, not the average bottle shop stuff. I also like Mescal, y'know the one with the worms, anyway here are a pic where both Tequila and Mescal come from: The Agave Parryi

1970's grindhouse flick - The Single Girls (poster)

We got a 70's feel going on at the moment. Grindhouse 'charm' with that trademark sexual/violence innuendos.

"...they got him hard"

Bohemian look 2011

Whilst we are on the subject of the 1970's. Fashion's new take on an ere of relaxed looks and flowing design ala 1970's.

For me, I would like a kinda fusion of the bohemian look with a despairing goth look of the 1980's. That would be a good mix.

Cool Album covers - Quatermass (1970)

I really like progressive rock from the 1970's, the sci-fi feel, the fantasy inspired album covers, the LSD hangover and the groupies. Yes, I was just a baby at the time, in fact I wasn't even born in 1970 (1971 to be exact). Anyhoo...

MODERN EON / Euthenics (1981)

Rediscovering a lot of goth inspired early 80's bands, mostly out of the UK.

No Title

FUCK SHE IS DIVINE

"The Prey" Vase, Art Nouveau by Auguste Ledru (1860-1902)

I love this, it is symbolic and suggestive erotic art from the pre Art Deco, or Art Nouveau peroid.

She awaits the conquest...the final seduction.

Melbourne (Australia), Brunswick St, Fitzroy

Taken with a crappy Nokia phone, with pixelation charm...

But damn I love the gothic influenced facade (the lion head)

Creative Destruction quote of the month: January 2011

“The basic difference between an ordinary man and a warrior is that a warrior takes everything as a challenge while an ordinary man takes everything either as a blessing or a curse”

Carlos Casteneda quotes (American author, 1925-1998)
